Please read the following notes prior to making any purchases and if you have any questions about your prospective purchases, we will try and answer any questions in relation to our products which you may have.
All of our products will differ slightly from the photographs on our website and social media sites, whilst we take every care to replicate stock items all sizes are approximated. This approximation is due in part to the variation in the individual staves, the natural grain in the oak and the curvature of the stave as originally crafted by the cooper who worked them to produce the barrel the staves originated from.
Whilst every care is taken in producing all of our items to a quality finish they could be affected by prolonged exposure to heat and moisture in the environment they have been purchased for. If you take care in protecting your purchases and not exposing them to excessive heat or moisture this will greatly improve their longevity and therefore your enjoyment of your purchase.
Producing a tactile piece involves sanding and filing all products by hand before applying the preferred finish, we endeavour to eliminate rough edges. However, sometimes this is not always possible due to the characteristics of individual staves and hoops.
Please take care with your purchase and be aware that the larger pieces can be extremely heavy due to the density of the oak, therefore appropriate handling techniques are advised.
